Two hundred years ago, in 1818, Madame Clicquot created the first rosé blend in the Campania region. Contrary to the previously known method, she mixed a quantity of the sophisticated red wine of the Bouzy variety with her classic champagne. The result was the first rosé blend, Veuve Clicquot Rosé. Once again Madam Clicquot was changing the rules in the champagne world.
Veuve Clicquot Rose is based on the traditional Brut Yellow Label recipe, finishing it with 12% red wine carefully selected to provide aromatic intensity and body. Then the wine matures for three years in the cellars of the House. The result is an explosion of red fruit on the nose, while in the mouth, this champagne is exuberant and ripe. It is recommended to accompany dishes with tuna, veal carpaccio, duck, sun-dried tomato - even red fruits such as strawberries.
