This particular edition was released to celebrate 83 years of rum production in St. Lucia.
It is a blend of rums made from molasses, from ambyka and Coffey Still, aged from 6 to 12 years.
The brand celebrates the opening of a new distillery in February 1931 in the Mabouya Valley, near Dennery, St. Lucia. The Distillery was founded by Denis Barnard and produced rum until 1972, when Saint Lucia Distillers was formed from the merger of the Dennery and Roseau distilleries. This story is represented on the brand's label and outer box. Each year the color of the label changes. Therefore, the 2012 bottle will be different from the 2011 bottle in terms of both content and packaging. Each bottle is individually numbered.
